Sweet Child O' Mine is part of Guns N' Roses' first album, "Appetite For Destruction," released in 1987. The song's lyrics are inspired by Axl Rose's girlfriend and future wife, Erin Everly.

The riff from Sweet Child O' Mine was ranked #1 on Total Guitar magazine's list of the most famous riffs in rock history, and the song's solo came in at #37 on Guitar World magazine's list of the 100 best solos.

The song has been performed live by numerous artists, including Linkin Park, Tenacious D, Alter Bridge, John Mayer, Soundgarden, and Raimundos. "Sweet Child O' Mine" was also recorded by singer Sheryl Crow, who won a Grammy in 1999 for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance with her version.
